The New York Times Student Journalism Institute

The New York Times Student Journalism Institute is a two-week program provided every January and May for exceptional student journalists to get intensive training with editors from the Times and Times Company papers.

In January 2008, I went to Tucson, Arizona, and designed the 16-page newspaper. I also worked on some of the video features found on the institute’s website.
